A leading recycler just took delivery of a dual-system configuration capable of processing over 5,000 kg/h of challenging agricultural film — here's how NGR made it work.

Agricultural film is one of the more demanding materials in the plastics recycling stream. High moisture content, variable density, and contamination levels can quickly destabilise output quality and push uptime down. When a leading recycler needed a solution that could handle this input at serious throughput — and do it reliably — they turned to NGR's C:GRAN 205 VV HD.

Two systems are now heading to site, delivering a combined capacity of more than 5,000 kg/h. The configuration isn't just about raw volume. Three technologies sit at the core of why it works for this application.

What's inside the system:

Auto-Pilot Control - Fully automatic adjustment to input variations in moisture and density. The system runs without manual intervention, maintaining stable output even as feedstock conditions shift.

DryBoost System - Efficient pre-drying with integrated energy recovery. Tackles moisture in agricultural film before it can disrupt the process — without wasting the energy used to do it.

80 µm filtration - Fine filtration maintained consistently, without pressure spikes that force downtime or reduce throughput. Clean pellets, continuously.

What this delivers in practice:

For recycling operations, the combination of these three technologies translates directly to operational outcomes that matter at scale.

  • Stable processing

  • High uptime

  • Consistent pellet quality

That consistency matters most with demanding input materials like agricultural film, where conventional systems often require frequent manual adjustment or accept degraded output as a trade-off.

"Automation is becoming increasingly important. Our Auto-Pilot system allows fully autonomous operation without manual intervention. It also eliminates the need for water cooling in the cutter compactor by introducing only the energy required for the process. This makes the system highly stable and energy-efficient."

The C:GRAN 205 VV HD represents NGR's answer to a common challenge in agricultural plastics recycling: maintaining quality and uptime when the input is anything but uniform. With Auto-Pilot at the core, the system doesn't just tolerate variability — it adjusts to it automatically, keeping operations running without the overhead of constant operator attention.
